Treat Yo Self 2016

On March 20th, Los Angeles was taken over by sweet lovers. Treat Yo Self, a small event that hosted some of the best candies, sweets, and sugary items from some of the top bakers, restaurants, and candy creators in LA.

Taking place in the small L.A. River Studio, They managed to squeeze 10 vendors not including the DJ, Beer station, chalk artist, and a salon, I guess you can say the place was DOUBLE STUFFED. To top it all off, they made sure they had something to fulfill everyone's favorite guilty pleasure.

The adventurous type (like me)-

My favorite thing hands down had to be the Ice Cream from Wanderlust Creamery. Serving an Ube cone topped with Mango Sticky rice ice cream, topped with another scoop of Thai Tea ice cream and then encrusted rose crystals.

The refreshing yet indulging-

The Gadarene Swine which had a coconut pudding topped with mojito granita, brown sugar streusel, strawberry and thai basil. Can you say refreshing and delicious?

The classic dessert lover-

Demitasse Cafe had probably the most simple dessert. A torch toasted marshmallow! OH, and it came with a side of lavender liquid hot chocolate. You heard me right, Simple yet amazing.

The “There is no such thing as too much chocolate”-

Cake Monkey Bakery had a Must Love Chocolate Cakewich - A chocolate brown butter cake, dark chocolate butter cream, chocolate crunchy pearls, and dark chocolate glaze.

If reading this makes you want to head straight to the nearest candy store or if your mouth is watering like crazy, then you need to look out for this event next year. I can't even imagine the new levels that Treat Yo Self will reach.
