On Sunday, November 22nd, from 2 - 6 p.m. The Deck on Laguna Beach and Driftwood Kitchen will partner up with The Bungalows at Pacific Edge Hotel to host their third annual Sip & Shuck event. Sip on sparkling wines from around the world as you enjoy hand shucked oysters. Panoramic ocean views take this tasting to the next level for guests while Executive Chef Rainer Schwarz prepares menu items from The Deck and Driftwood Kitchen.
"In the past two years, Sip & Shuck has become one of the most popular events in Laguna Beach. This year, we welcome the opportunity to benefit a local institution, the Laguna Playhouse, which is celebrating its 95th anniversary," commented Director of Operations John Nye, who presented a check for $10,000 to last year’s recipient, Pacific Marine Mammal Center. “With expectations set high for this year’s event, we are going to focus on sourcing an incredible array of fresh oysters, presenting lively entertainers, and pouring terrific champagnes, wines and spirits. Guests can look forward to a few surprises along the way.”
Laguna Playhouse, which is celebrating its 95th anniversary will receive proceeds from the event. The Laguna Playhouse produces and presents professional theatre of the highest quality, providing a full range of theatrical styles, entertainment, educational programs, and other initiatives that serve our community and reach a broad constituency. It provides education and community outreach programs for adults and youth that will inform, educate, inspire and create a legacy for the future generations.
