When it comes to hospitality, Viet Tran, co-owner of Mexic-Asian fusion hub Dos Chinos, knows no bounds. While earning his BA in Economics from UCLA, the Little Saigon native took to the local nightclubs of Orange County to start his journey as an influential businessman. From running promotions at Irvine's Metropolis to help pay for tuition, to handling Friday nights at Costa Mesa's Shark Club for a staggering twelve year stint, Tran eventually let the road take him to a key pit stop as Director of Marketing for V20 the Venue in Long Beach, which he tokens as the introduction to his unique business scope of the food and restaurant industry. His first strides as a business owner started with the purchase and renovation of Huntington Beach's Avec Nightclub, an endeavor that was later sold to help purchase Shark Club, now Mansion Costa Mesa which is still owned and operated under Tran's name. 

While working the nightclub scene, Tran used his events to let elementary school friend and business partner Hop Phan sling masterful Dos Chinos goodness, changing the meaning of fusion food as Orange County knew it one stoner burrito at a time. The two eventually paired up in 2011, Phan bringing Asian and Latin fusion into each dish, Tran the business mindset, to push the Dos Chinos food enterprise to new heights. Together the pair brought some of their most fun-filled food truck adventures to Irvine for some local flair at events like OC DinDin A Go-Go at the local K1 Speed and The Food Truck Roundup at Michelson and Teller. Tran hopes to recreate the same magic with the second brick and mortar of Dos Chinos soon to be at TRADE, bringing something new, sexy, and cool into Irvine.
